The Breakthrough Accelerator helps teams strengthen and grow their innovations through coaching, peer learning, and hands-on support. While teams receive funding, the core of this program is learning and collaboration.

Teams selected for Breakthrough are expected to:

  • Actively participate in the 11-month program and continue working on their innovation

  • Attend two in-person Breakthrough Labs (3 days each) in the continental United States

  • Pitch their innovation at one virtual and one in-person Demo Day (2 days) in the continental United States

  • Join weekly or biweekly coaching calls with an expert coach

  • Participate in 1–2 group learning activities each month with other teams

  • Work together between program activities to advance their innovation (specific tasks will vary by team)

  • Share feedback to improve the program experience

your commitment

To get the most from the Breakthrough Accelerator, teams are expected to stay engaged and responsive throughout the program.

Outside of required in-person events, each team member should plan to spend at least 8–10 hours per month on Breakthrough activities, including participation in scheduled sessions (such as coaching calls or group learning activities) and independent work as a team.

Time commitments may vary over the course of the program and will increase during months that include in-person events.
